Ally Financial Becomes Innovate Sponsor

CareerSpring is proud to announce Ally Financial as our newest Innovate Sponsor, deepening a partnership rooted in action, access, and a shared commitment to increasing career mobility for the first-generation and/or low-income (FGLI) students and graduates we serve.

Ally is not only investing in our mission–but they’re also doing the work as an Employer Partner. Since our partnership began, Ally has placed over 10 CareerSpring Advisees into meaningful jobs and internships; currently has 8 Ally team members actively volunteering as Advisors on our Platform; and regularly share career events and programming for our Advisees. From professional development sessions to hiring pathways, Ally’s team has demonstrated what it means to build intentional bridges between talent and opportunity.

“At Ally, we believe that ‘doing it right’ means more than just creating opportunities—it’s about building the bridges that make those opportunities accessible,” said Kathie Patterson, Chief Human Resources and Corporate Citizenship Officer at Ally Financial. “Our collaboration with CareerSpring is deeply personal for our team. We’ve seen firsthand the incredible talent and drive within the first-generation student community, leading to several exciting new additions to our 2026 internship class. We’re not just looking for candidates; we’re looking to foster a sense of belonging.”

Through our holistic partnership, Ally is showing up consistently to help CareerSpring Advisees gain confidence, skills, and networks they need to succeed in competitive industries. Their partnership is a strong example of how talent acquisition teams can incorporate philanthropy with hands-on engagement to support the development of diverse talent pipelines.

Michael Khoury, CareerSpring’s Regional Program Manager in Detroit shared, “Ally Financial is everything I can hope for in a Partner! They support our students in every way possible, and I am grateful to their entire team”

As an Innovate Sponsor, Ally’s investment will help CareerSpring continue to expand access to our vital resources nationwide. Together, we’re not only creating opportunities for FGLI students and graduates, but ensuring they have the means and support to access them.
