Lunch & Learns are a series of webinars that are hosted for our Advisees by experienced professionals from our Network. They cover a variety of topics to help our FGLI students and graduates along their career journey. Lunch & Learns are hosted on the first Wednesday and third Thursday of each month, and are not recorded. They are designed to be somewhat interactive and presented in a small group format.
-
We work closely with our Network of Employer Partners to offer unique experiences for our Advisees to explore careers and gain insights. Events range from onsite tours or hands-on workshops, to skill-building or networking opportunities. We work to ensure these are meaningful opportunities for our Advisees, enabling them to gain exposure to industries or companies they may be interested in working with.
-
The Inside the Industry Series is our virtual career panel series that explores a range of career paths through the lens of industry professionals. Each session dives into a different sector—from finance and healthcare to tech and real estate—offering firsthand insights, career advice, and inspiration for Advisees as they navigate their career journeys. They are designed to be somewhat interactive and presented in a small group format.
-
Our Springboard Series is designed to support first- and second-year FGLI college students in building a strong foundation for career success. This program helps our Advisees become familiar with our tools, team, and services so they can make the most out of their time on the Platform. This will include invitations to virtual events and learning opportunities, Advisor conversations, and additional exercises designed to help them make progress toward building their social capital and gaining professional experience.
-
Our CareerSpring FORWARD Program is a short-term experiential internship opportunity for FGLI students in the summer before their sophomore or junior year of college. This early career identification program helps participants discover their strengths and interests, explore potential career options that align with their goals, and inspire confidence in their abilities as they prepare for future career opportunities. CareerSpring FORWARD Interns receive an introduction to the industry, shadowing opportunities, work on an industry-focused project, attend presentations and training by industry experts, and complete a capstone presentation at the end of the program.
CareerSpring FORWARD creates a new pathway for undergraduate students to build career ready skills and prepare for the workforce. Opportunities are available in accounting, technology, marketing, and non-profit sectors.
