Our Job Placement Process

Our Employer Partners share entry-level jobs, internship roles, and program opportunities with us to offer a stepping stone on the path to success for our first-generation and/or low-income (FGLI) Advisees.

By being a part of this process, you are giving your company direct access to a talented pool of FGLI students and graduates while providing them with access to meaningful career opportunities. This experience can not only change their lives, but the lives of future generations and the makeup of the American workforce.

Our Process

Our team is committed to working closely with Employer Partners to ensure this process is a seamless extension of their hiring efforts

  1. Employer Partners share new roles or opportunities, as well as the hiring timeline and qualifications with our Job Placement Team.

  2. Our team posts the opportunity to the ‘Opportunities’ page on our Career Platform, exclusively accessible for our FGLI Advisees.

  3. Our team conducts targeted outreach to Advisees and Education or Community Partners in our Network to share the opportunity.

  4. Advisees submit their resumes and are invited to a pre-screening, conducted by our Job Placement team to ensure they meet the qualifications and to identify our resources to help them be the best candidate possible.

  5. Eligible Advisees receive next steps (determined by Employer Partners) to submit their application. Then our team will notify the Employer Partner of any Advisees applying.

  6. Employer Partners notify our team of the status of applicants submitted from our Network, such as interview invitations or any offers made.
